LeBlanc to Miami, Baker to here

The Padres traded Wade LeBlanc today to the Miami Marlins for catcher John Baker.

Pretty exciting stuff, only because I love catchers. Any catcher is a great catcher in my eyes. I love seeing a new one join the team. He will obviously be Nick Hundley’s backup, but still, it’ll be good to have him here in SD. He’s got a career batting average of .277.

Hey everybody. Yeah, I know I haven’t blogged in a long time. Not only is it the offseason, but I have been ridiculously busy with The Telescope and school. Mostly The Telescope. But that’s okay, because it’s been a blast.

I’m really curious about how next season is going to go for the Padres. New General Manager? Okay. Is that going to change anything? Doubtful. Look at who we’ve signed so far: Mark Kotsay, who I thought retired years ago, and a 31-year-old catcher. It looks like the same old, same old to me.

GO PADRES!!
